Euronav buys back its shares

Tanker operator Euronav has spent EUR4.8m ($5.2m) in buying back 500,000 of its own shares in seven different transactions made on the Euronext Brussels exchange since January 15.

The average price paid per share was EUR9.53, slightly below Euronav’s current share price of EUR10.47.

The Belgium-based company now owns a total of 966,667 of its own shares, equivalent to 0.61% of its total outstanding shares.
