Exmar sells accommodation barge

Belgium’s Exmar has revealed the sale of one of its offshore accommodation barges.

The Nicolas Saverys-controlled company, best known as a gas shipowner and infrastructure provider, said the Wariboko had been sold for an undisclosed sum, without naming the buyer.

The unit was built in 2010 and later purchased by Springmarine Nigeria a joint venture company between Springview Services and Exmar as Otto 5.

The 300-person accommodation vessel was deployed in the second half of 2023 on a project for TotalEnergies.

Following the sale, Exmar’s offshore division will have the 2009-built Nunce left in its accommodation and work barge portfolio. The vessel is currently working offshore Angola fixed until May.
