Extra hotel booked as interest ramps up for inaugural Geneva Dry

Due to overwhelming demand the event organisers of Geneva Dry have reached out to a nearby five-star hotel to reserve additional special room rates for delegates for May’s big global dry bulk summit.

With attendance at the inaugural Geneva Dry set to exceed initial targets by more than 100%, organisers have secured extra rooms at preferential rates at the Hotel d’Angleterre which is under a 10-minute walk away along the shore of Lake Geneva from the conference’s home at the President Wilson Hotel.

There are now more than 150 companies attending the commodities shipping summit, with executives flying in from all over the world for the two-day event scheduled to take place from May 2 to 3 with available rooms at the Hotel President Wilson now down to double figures.

Commented Grant Rowles, co-founder of Geneva Dry, “The interest in attending has been phenomenal and we are very fortunate to have such an array of great hotels in walking distance from where the event is taking place.”

Geneva Dry brings together all elements of the commodities shipping sector. Split into sectors, panels feature analysts, financiers, miners, traders and shipowners to discuss where the markets are headed.

Sessions include minor bulks, agri-commodities, coal, iron ore, decarbonisation as well as an entire afternoon spent discussing digital.
