Ezra’s EMAS AMC wins $105m Australian subsea contract

Singapore: Offshore operator Ezra Holdings has announced that its subsea division, EMAS AMC, has secured a construction contract with Apache Energy in Australia valued around $105m.

The contract includes project management, engineering, transportation and subsea installation of an electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilical, two heavy lift subsea manifolds, flying leads and jumpers as well as the procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation of diverless tie-in spools for Apache’s Julimar Development Project offshore Australia.

Execution is scheduled to start in 1Q2016, utilising the heavy lift and multi-lay deep water offshore construction vessel, the Lewek Constellation.

“I am also extremely encouraged by the level of interest the Lewek Constellation has generated from the industry and we expect that she will continue to drive the subsea business forward with our work schedule extending well into 2016 and beyond,” said Lionel Lee, Ezra’s ceo and managing director.

In the meantime, Ezra Holdings reported an increase in after tax profit from $8.7m in the first quarter ended November 2014 to $60.6m in the same period of 2015. Revenue in the same period dropped slightly to $321m. [09/01/15]
