Norway’s Solstad Offshore has announced that a 12-month option has been exercised to extend the contract for its 2010-built construction support vessel Normand Tonjer .
The vessel has been on contract to Magseis Fairfield, and the extension takes the vessel contract through to November 2020.
Fairfield took the vessel on charter last year on a one year deal, with two 12-month options, prior to its combination with Magseis. The company is using the vessel to support worldwide ocean bottom seismic surveys using node-based technology.
Solstad Offshore owns 56% of Normand Tonjer.
