Magseis Fairfield extends Solstad Offshore CSV contract

Norway’s Solstad Offshore has announced that a 12-month option has been exercised to extend the contract for its 2010-built construction support vessel Normand Tonjer.

The vessel has been on contract to Magseis Fairfield, and the extension takes the vessel contract through to November 2020.

Fairfield took the vessel on charter last year on a one year deal, with two 12-month options, prior to its combination with Magseis. The company is using the vessel to support worldwide ocean bottom seismic surveys using node-based technology.

Solstad Offshore owns 56% of Normand Tonjer.
