First RoRo vessel calls at Khalifa Port

Abu Dhabi: The first scheduled RoRo vessel has called at the RoRo terminal at Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi.

The MV Dream Angel berthed on January 5 at the terminal, which has been relocated from Zayed Port to Khalifa Port. Both ports are operated by Abu Dhabi Ports Company.

The vessel is operated by Nissan Motor Car Carrier (NMCC) and arrived from the Port of Yokohama and Port of Kanda, Japan.

The ship was carrying 164 car units for Abu Dhabi-based Al Masaood Automobiles; the Nissan vehicles will be sold across the UAE.

To mark the maiden call of the MV Dream Angel to Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi Ports officials welcomed the vessel’s captain and his crew with an official ceremony, and presented a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion. [06/01/15]
