First shipment from Jubail sails to Singapore

Doha: Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemicals (Satorp) has sold its first shipment of fuel oil to Shell, according to Reuters.

The shipment is due to be transported to Singapore onboard the Phoenix Alpha tanker managed by V.Ships, arriving October 11. The ship arrived at the new giant refinery of Jubail around a week ago. Total is queued up to take the refinery’s second shipment too.

Jubail is now operating at 200,000 barrels a day. It is expected to hit its full capacity of 400,000 barrels a day by the end of the year.  [01/10/13]
