Foresea seals $160m drillship contract extension with Petrobras

Brazilian drilling contractor Foresea has secured more work from Petrobras for its ultra-deepwater drillship ODN II.

The deal worth around $160m will see the 2012-built floater continue operating in the Brazilian Equatorial Margin.

The extension is for 363 days and has already kicked off in direct continuation of its previous 30-day campaign.

Foresea was set up in June last year from the restructuring of Ocyan’s drilling unit. The company has a fleet of four drillships and one semisubmersible all on contract with Petrobras.
