Fuzhou gets approval to become bonded port

Shanghai: The State Council has approved the establishment of a bonded port in Fuzhou city in Fujian province.

The Fuzhou Bonded Port will become China’s 14th bonded port zone. It will complement the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone and the Haicang Bonded Port in Xiamen city in the same province.

The bonded port is situated on the Jiangyin peninsula in Fuqing county, with an area of 9.26 sq km. The first stage of the bonded zone covers 2.43 sq km, with storage logistics, foreign trade, international procurement, processing and manufacturing. [01/05/14]
