Golden Energy Offshore scores vessel contracts

Norwegian owner Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has landed two contracts with undisclosed charterers for the multipurpose support vessel Energy Duchess.

The first contract is in the UK sector of the North Sea for up to 14 days to accommodate and bring technicians and equipment to support a decommissioning campaign.

The 2019-built vessel will be mobilised in Rotterdam with a “bring to work” (B2W) system after completion of its present spot job.

The second contract is on the Norwegian continental shelf and comes in direct continuation of the B2W job. The deal is for a firm 50 days plus options until July 13, 2023.

GEOS said the new contracts secured 100% utilisation for the rest of Q1 and throughout most of Q2 at attractive levels. All three of the company’s vessels have a full firm backlog until May 1, when Energy Swan comes off its contract.
