Shanghai: Norwegian shipowner Golden Ocean Group has announced that it has finalized a shipbuilding contract for three plus three 64,000dwt supramax bulk carriers with CSSC-affiliated Chengxi Shipyard and China Shipbuilding and Trading Company.
The delivery of the vessels will start from the first half of 2015 and the optional vessels will be declared within four months.
Golden Ocean said it obtained favourable terms and pricing for the orders and it plans to own a fleet of five to eight fuel efficient supramax bulkers. [17/06/13]
