Great Eastern Shipping sells ageing VLGC

India’s Great Eastern Shipping Company has announced the sale of 1994-built VLGC Jag Vishnu to an unnamed buyer.

Great Eastern did not reveal the value of the sale, although MSI values the vessel at $13.5m.

The Japanese built gas carrier has been on long-term charter to Bharat Petroleum, and is scheduled for delivery in the first half of the 2019-20 financial year.

At the moment the vessel is anchored off Mumbai.
