Greathorse orders two chemical tankers in Japan

Shanghai: Shanghai-based Greathorse Group has signed shipbuilding contracts with Japanese shipyard Kitanihon Shipbuilding for the construction of two 25,000 dwt chemical tankers, following the orders of two vessels of the same type at Fukuoka Shipbuilding in June this year.

Delivery of the two vessels is scheduled in 2017.

Greathorse Group entered the chemical shipping market about two years ago. Currently it runs eight 9,000 dwt tankers and two 13,000 dwt tankers. [03/11/14]
