Guangzhou: Now that it has taken over CSSC Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding, CSSC-affiliated Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) is looking to add further assets.
CSSC’s Huanan-located shipyards are considered likely to be incorporated to GSI.
These yards include CSSC Guangzhou Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, CSSC Xijiang Shipbuilding, and CSSC Guijiang Shipbuilding. Also, GSI is understood to be looking to acquire assets of non-CSSC-affiliated yards.
CSSC is leading a significant consolidation of its yards empire. What is happening in Guangzhou is also set to happen in Shanghai with Hudong-Zhonghua likely to lead the process. [19/06/14]
