Gulf Marine Services awarded pair of new contracts

UAE-based liftboat operator Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has been awarded two new contracts.

One of the company’s small K-Class vessels has been awarded a seven-month contract, with additional options, to provide support for offshore activities for an unnamed Middle Eastern national oil company.

A mid-sized S-Class vessel has been awarded a 12-month contract supporting the offshore activities of a Middle Eastern national oil company.

GMS fleet utilisation for 2020 now stands at 73%, with the company having secured over $74m worth of new contracts since August 2019.

Tim Summers, executive chairman of GMS, commented: “Momentum is building. These are important contract awards for GMS, continuing to add to our order book for 2020. Secured day-rates for these contracts are firm and are consistent with existing contracts in the region.”
