Hans Aasnæs hired to replace Jens Ismar at Western Bulk

Norway’s Western Bulk has appointed Hans Aasnæs as its new CEO replacing Jens Ismar who leaves Western Bulk after almost 11 years, reports Norwegian business news site Hegnar.

Aasnæs joins from industrial investment company UMOE Group, and starts on July 1. In the meantime, risk director Egil Husby will serve as interim CEO.

Ismar joined Western Bulk in 2008 from BW Gas, and in 2016 guided the company through a restructuring.
