Dalian: ICBC Financial Leasing has signed a leasing project worth $1.08bn with Schahin for two ultra-deepwater drilling rigs during Chinese president Xi Jinping’s recent visit in Brazil. The rigs will eventually be used by Petrobras.
CIMC Raffles played the role of EPC of the two rigs and delivered them in November 2010 and April 2011.
One of the rigs SS Pantanal has been awarded a contract of eight years while the other rig SS Amazonia has been awarded a contract of four years. [21/07/14]
