Indian ship sinks off Oman

Muscat: An as yet unidentified Indian ship heading to Socotra, Yemen, from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sank on Tuesday near Oman.

The ship was loaded with 600 tonnes of food, iron ore and cars.

The local coast guard said the ship grounded just off the coast and sank completely. The ship's crew were rescued by another ship which was close to the site.  [08/10/14]
