Indonesia to beef up cattle terminals

Jakarta: The Indonesian government is aiming to create Bakauheni Port in South Lampung as the nation’s main port for loading and transporting cattle. A new quay will be built.

Sumba Port in East Nusa Tenggara will also be developed to handle cattle.

“The development of the terminals will hopefully be implemented in the second half of 2013,” Transportation Minister EE Mangindaan said earlier this week.  [13/02/13]
