Jacobsen replaces Ackermann as Evergas CEO

London: Steffen Jacobsen has been named as the new CEO of Evergas, effective May 8.

Jacobsen has been vice-president of Evergas’ fleet division since February 1. He joined the company after 35 years at Maersk, which included nine years as the head of Maersk Tankers.

He replaces Martin Ackermann, who will become the new CEO of BW LPG. It has not yet been announced when he will start in this position.

“Martin has decided to move on and the timing is right for Evergas to have a change in leadership,” Jacques de Chateauvieux, chairman of Evergas’ parent company Jaccar Holdings, said in a statement today. “We are pleased to appoint Mr Jacobsen who brings a solid ballast of leadership and industry experience.

“Evergas is in a period of strong growth in a market that shows strong potential for further development, and we are delighted that Mr. Jacobsen will lead the company forward.”
