Jordan close to sealing Shell LNG deal

Cairo: Jordanian energy minister, Mohammad Hamed has said the government is expected to sign an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell before the end of June to supply 590m cu ft of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to a $65m terminal in Aqaba.
Under the five-year agreement, Shell will provide of LNG gas per day to a floating storage re-gasification unit that the government recently rented and then the gas will flow into the terminal. [07/05/14]
