JR Shipping and Polferries units form offshore wind partnership

Netherlands-based SeaZip Offshore Service has teamed up with PŻB Offshore a subsidiary of Polish Baltic Shipping to jointly offer services focused on offshore wind projects in Poland and the Baltic States.

Founded in 2010, SeaZip is part of JR Shipping and its offshore service and support vessels are managed by the shipping group’s shipmanagement division. The company has a strong position in ship design, shipbuilding, and ship management and has already built up an impressive track record in the offshore wind market with its fleet of crew transfer vessels.

PŻB Offshore is a newly established unit of Polish Baltic Shipping also known as Polferries dedicated to taking part in local offshore projects and being active in mutual foreign ventures.

“We are pleased with the dynamic development of the new company in our capital group. offshore wind energy is an area which we see the potential to diversify our business,” said Andrzej Madejski, CEO of Polish Baltic Shipping.

Jan Reier Arends, managing owner of SeaZip Offshore Service, added: “We have recently been actively engaged in building a network and gaining knowledge about the developing offshore energy market in Poland. We aim to build international capabilities to provide a service fleet for Polish offshore projects, and to be active in mutual projects abroad. By working together, we can realise our common goals and ambitions, and our mutual projects are very ambitious.” said Jan Reier Arends, managing owner of SeaZip Offshore Service.
