KS Drilling jackup contract extended in Vietnam

Singapore’s KS Drilling, part of KS Energies been awarded a contract extension for jackup rig KS Java Star 2.

The jackup has been operating in Vietnam for a number of years, and the extension is worth around $5.6m. The company did not reveal the length of contract or the client, although the rig has worked for VietsovPetro in the past.

KS Drilling has a fleet of three jackup rigs and six land rigs.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
