Dubai: Kuwait is ploughing ahead with a controversial port project that neighbour Iraq has demanded be cancelled.
Iraq has called for the $1.1bn construction of the Mubarak Al-Kabir port on Kuwait's Boubyan island to be suspended, claiming the development would affect Iraq’s shipping routes.
The port is scheduled to be finished in 2016. [10/12/13]
