Livestock traders hit out at massive port bills

Dubai: Livestock traders in the Kingdom of Bahrain have hit out at the escalating fees forced upon them by ports in the region. Whereas, they used to pay just 10 dinars as a landing fee at Muharraq, the port of Khalifa is now charging 2,600 dinars, the traders allege.

A letter has been submitted to the prime minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to find appropriate solutions to protect livestock traders.  [17/03/13]
