Maritime CEO Forum: Dry bulk’s slow recovery

Last week’s dry bulk session during the Maritime CEO Forum in Hong Kong covered plenty of topics.

Moderated by Mandarin Shipping’s Tim Huxley, the panel of dry bulk shipowners were quizzed on finance, IMO 2020, the merits of being public or private and the markets during a busy 60 minutes on stage at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club in the heart of Central, Hong Kong.

Watch below as Christoper Cheng, managing director of LD Bulk, discusses the current dry bulk outlook, arguing that the sector is on a “slow recovery” over the past three years.

The video below that sees Olivia Lennox-King, managing director of Asia Maritime Pacific, discus her company’s preparation for IMO 2020, warning fellow owners not to leave the fuel switch too late.

The next Maritime CEO Forum takes place at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore on March 17.

The Maritime CEO Forum in Hong Kong was sponsored by American Express, Anglo-Eastern, Cobham, Dualog, Liberian Registry, Lloyd’s Register and Marlink.
