Meadway rebrands itself as Drydel Shipping

Greece’s Meadway Shipping and Trading is changing the name of its operations this month.

Effective February 19, the Costas Dellaportas-led bulker player will be known as Drydel Shipping.

The name change includes outfits in Athens, Singapore, Dubai and Meadway Maritime Chartering.

“This rebranding is designed to set us apart in the marketplace and eliminate any confusion due to similar company names,” the company said, adding that there will be no change in ownership, team, or operations.

Meadway was set up in 1988 and today counts a fleet of 11 kamsarmax to handysize vessels with an average age of six years, with nine more newbuilds set for delivery between 2024 and 2026.
