MMA Offshore scores $10m decommissioning contract in Timor-Leste

MMA Offshore has secured a contract from a subsidiary of Timor Gap in association with Santos for decommissioning services in Timor-Leste.

The Perth-based OSV operator will deploy its multipurpose support vessel, MMA Prestige, to carry out a range of subsea services in support of decommissioning activities.

Offshore work is set to start in the first quarter of 2024 with contract revenue for the planned
scope expected to be around A$15.7m ($10m).

MMA’s managing director David Ross, said the contract win, utilising both subsea expertise and vessel assets in combination, marked another strategic milestone for the company.

“The pipeline for decommissioning projects in our key operating regions is looking positive and we look forward to supporting our client to deliver a successful outcome on this key project and to demonstrating MMA’s capabilities in the decommissioning space,” Ross added.
