MTM takes Union Maritime product tanker pair

Singapore’s MTM Group has bought two product tankers from UK’s Union Maritime in an enbloc deal.

According to Banchero Costa, MTM acquired the two 2004-built 51,000 dwt tankers Lincoln and Chase for a price of $11m each.

The acquisition follows MTM’s acquisition of the 2004-built 51,300 dwt tanker Energy Protector from Enterprises Shipping and Trading in September.

MTM Group currently owns a fleet of 37 vessels made up of 14 bulkers and 23 tankers, with another two on order at Shin Kurushima.
