Doha: Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) is tapping its joint venture yard Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ to build seven ships, a company statement on Qatar's stock exchange said. The ships will enter service between autumn 2014 to spring 2015.
Its Nakilat-SvitzerWijsmuller (NSW) joint venture will operate the ships under a 14-year contract with state-owned oil group Qatar Petroleum.
NSW is Nakilat's joint venture with the Middle East branch of towage operator Svitzer. [22/10/13]
