Noble Corporation awarded jackup extensions

Offshore driller Noble Corporation has secured contract extensions for two of its jackup drilling rigs, according to the company’s latest fleet status report.

The 2013-built Noble Mick O’Brien has been awarded contract extension by Qatar Gas, which will see the rig continue to work in the Middle East until late March 2020.

Additionally, Esso exercised five of six optional wells for the 2014-built Noble Tom Prosser in Australia, extending the contract to August 2020.

Noble Corporation currently operates 24 drilling units made up of eight drillships, 12 jackup rigs and four semi-submersible rigs.
