Norden orders four capes

Danish shipping giant Norden has revealed orders for four capesize newbuildings, which will deliver between 2025 and 2027. Prices and the yards contracted have not been revealed.

Norden already has five owned and seven chartered capes on its books, and today stated its aim was to get to a total operating capesize fleet of between 20 to 25 ships.

“With our latest investments in not only capesizes but also in projects and parcelling and logistics, we are now able to provide our customers with a truly unique full-service approach across all dry cargo segments, with a strong focus on decarbonisation,” said Jan Rindbo, Norden’s CEO.
