Nordic American Tankers sells three more suezmax tankers

Nordic American Tankers (NAT) has sold three more suzemax tankers, all built in 1997, continuing its fleet sell-off of older vessels.

The sale will bring in around $80m, the company said, and brings the total number of vessels recently sold by the company to eight.

NAT currently has four 1997-built suezmaxes in the fleet, Nordic Harrier, Nordic Hawk, Nordic Hunter and Nordic Voyager.

NAT is planning to re-expand its fleet over the next three years and says it is in a solid financial position and believes there is renewed optimism in the tanker market.
