Nordic Maritime secures $23.5m contract

Singapore: Singapore-based offshore vessel owner Nordic Maritime has won a $23.5m contract to provide seismic services off the coast of Andhra Pradesh, India from Cairn.

The project will start from 15th March, and is due to completed by the middle of June. The vessel Vyacheslav Tikhonov, operated by the Russia company Sovcomflot, will depart from the Port of Kakinada.

"This award from Cairn Energy for work offshore India is naturally exciting for Nordic and our partners. We believe there are more opportunities like this in the region and we are open to more contracts of this sort in future," said Kjell Gauksheim, ceo of Nordic Maritime. [13/03/14]
