Ofers accused of doing business with Iran

Dubai: The Ofer Brothers Group is under investigation by Israel’s attorney general for doing business with Iran, a nation under strict Western imposed santions. The group stands accused of selling a tanker worth $8.65m to an Iranian shipping line. The Ofers deny this charge. Eight other ships belonging to the group have allegedly docked in Iran in the recent past. The Ofers are Israel’s richest family with diverse shipping holdings including containerline Zim.
