Muscat: Amec Foster Wheeler has been handed a contract by the Oman Tank Terminal Company (OTTCO), for the front-end engineering design of the Ras Markaz Crude Oil Park Project in Oman.
Located 70 km south of the Port of Duqm on the Wusta Coast, the Ras Markaz project involves the phased development of a terminal designed to hold about 200m barrels of crude oil, making it one of the largest oil storage facilities of its type. The first phase of the project, for approximately 25m barrels' capacity, is planned to be on stream by the end of 2018. [22/01/15]
