Okeanis Eco Tankers secures funding for VLCC pair

Okeanis Eco Tankers, the Oslo-listed Alafouzos family tanker vehicle, has secured two loan facilities for a total of $116.3m with Credit Suisse and BNP Paribas to finance two of its VLCC newbuildings.

Currently under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries, hull 3051 has secured $58.125m from Credit Suisse and hull 3089 has secured $58.175m from BNP Paribas.

Okeanis currently has four VLCC new builds under consturction and the company is in advanced discussions to secure funding on there two remaining VLCCs.

Separately, Okeanis has initiated moves to up-list its shares from Merkur Markets to Oslo Axess, and as part of the process will look to raise $55m via a private placvement.
