Petredec completes Mauritius LPG hub

Singapore: Petredec has completed its wholly owned LPG storage facility in Mauritius. This is the largest on-land LPG storage facility in the region, the company said in a release.

The complex consists of a mounded structure and will allow up to 15,000 tonnes of pressurised LPG to be stored and distributed. The Port Louis terminal is designed both to supply Mauritius’ gas requirements as well as to function as a re-export hub. The jetty can accommodate the largest LPG carriers ever built, which have a capacity of 84,000 cu m. Petredec has 12 such vessels on order.  [18/03/14]
