Petro Services and Ocean Installer team up for TotalEnergies contract off Angola

Marine construction contractor Ocean Installer has secured work from TotalEnergies and its Block 17 partners on the Pazflor FPSO offshore Angola.

As part of the deal, Ocean Installer will as the main subcontractor to West Africa and Middle East-focussed OSV operator Petro Services carry out umbilical recovery and reinstallation scope on the FPSO later this year.

This will be Ocean Installer’s second participation in TotalEnergies projects in Angola this year, while Petro Services has other ongoing long-term contracts with the French energy major in the country.

“The fact that TotalEnergies again places production critical operations with us, represents the trust our clients have in our abilities,” said Ocean Installer CEO Kevin Murphy.

Petro Services will be in charge of the project management activities and execute in-country support operations.

“We are confident that the different skill sets of both Ocean Installer and Petro Services will complement one another ensuring we deliver a successful execution of project for TotalEnergies EP Angola,” added Alexander Haly, CEO of Petro Services.
