Petronas in Suriname deal
Kuala Lumpur: Suriname's state oil company Staatsolie and Malaysia's Petronas have signed a production sharing contract for an offshore bloc about 130 km off the coast of the South American nation.
Staatsolie said Petronas will invest $25m, drill at least one exploratory well and conduct a 3D seismic survey of Block 52.
Petronas, like other big Southeast Asian state-run energy giants PTT and Pertamina, is being urged to invest more in overseas projects. [29/04/13]
