Polarcus secures extension in South America

Offshore seismic specialist Polarcus has secured a contract extension for a 3D marine seismic project in South America.

The first phase was successfully completed in August 2016. The second phase is scheduled to commence in March 2017 and will be acquired over 3 months, extending the regional campaign into the third quarter of 2017, with an option for further expansion of the survey area. The client was not revealed by Polarcus.

“It is very gratifying to receive this project extension, as it validates our exemplary safety and environmental performance and our operational efficiency, which has enabled us to meet the high standards expected by this major client,” said Richard Price, senior vice president, North & South America.
