Princess anticipates 40,000 passengers in SE Asia this season

 

Kuala Lumpur: Princess Cruises, part of Carnival Corp, expects to carry 40,000 passengers in the Southeast Asian market for a four-month season from November 2014 to February 2015. The firm is deploying the 116,000 gt Sapphire Princess, which can carry 2,670 passengers, to Southeast Asia for the season. 

Princess’s Southeast Asia director Farriek Tawfik said: "Passengers will be sourced from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the rest of Asia, in addition to international markets including the US, the UK and Australia." 

Malaysia’s growing cruise sector is set to welcome half a million passengers this year.  [02/10/13]
