Prosafe CEO to step down

Jesper Kragh Andresen will be stepping down as chief executive of semisub accommodation vessel owner Prosafe after more than six years.

At the helm since March 2017 Andresen will continue in his current role until his successor is in place. Prosafe has engaged Russell Reynolds Associates in Oslo as an advisor in the recruitment process.

Prior to joining Prosafe, Andresen held various positions including CEO in Axis Offshore, president of Lauritzen Offshore and managing director of J. Lauritzen Singapore.

Glen Rødland, chairman of Prosafe, said that Andresen managed the company safely through the downturn in the energy industry and subsequently its financial restructuring. “The company is now moving into a new phase and is well positioned for an expected upturn in the market from 2024 and onwards,” he added.
