Roro ship struck port terminal in Lianyungang

Shanghai: Roro ship “C-K Star”, which offers a regular ferry service between Lianyungang and Korea, lost its power when approaching Lianyungang port on Monday, and eventually hit a port terminal which is currently under construction.

Both the ship and the port terminal were severely damaged, although only 1 out of 104 passengers onboard was hurt sustaining a minor injury.

The local maritime authority is currently investigating the accident. [06/08/14]
