Houston-based international offshore driller Rowan Companies announced it has been awarded by ExxonMobil a contract for a drillship in the US Gulf of Mexico.
It is an 80-day contract for one well and the drillship deployed will be the 2015-built Rowan Relentless.
.Rowan did not announce the dayrate.
The contract begins in September and is followed by four one-well, priced options.
