Shearwater GeoServices awarded Barents Sea contract

Shearwater GeoServices has been awarded a contract for a Barents Sea seismic acquisition survey with full data processing by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).

Shearwater has previously processed 2D surveys for the NPD in the area and the experience gained will be used to support execution of this new project.

The one-month survey will commence in the third quarter and will be carried out by the Amazon Conqueror equipped with Isometrix technology.

“We are very pleased to see our combined acquisition and processing services selected by the NPD for their 2019 Barents Sea project. It confirms our position as a leading full-service geophysical company,” said Irene Waage Basili, the CEO of Shearwater GeoServices.
