Siem Offshore gets new deal in Brazil for oil spill recovery vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Siem Offshore through its Brasilian subsidiary has won a new contract for the oil spill recovery vessel (OSRV) Siem Marataizes.

The new deal for the 2016-built vessel will last for four years and will start in the second quarter of 2024.

Siem Offshore has two OSRVs stationed in Brazil, both with platform supply vessel (PSV) functionalities and developed specifically for an eight-year assignment for Petrobras. The second unit is the 2014-built Siem Maragogi.

In 2022, Siem Maragogi won a three-year contract in direct continuation of its previous deal. As for the Siem Marataizes, this is only its second awarded contract.
