SITC pays $8m for 1,000 teu ship

Hong Kong-listed shipping firm SITC International Holdings has laid down around $8m for the 11-year-old 1,043 teu Alice, according to sources. The sale was completed some weeks back, but the buyer has just emerged.

The China-based containership and logistics group currently operates over 60 vessels of which around half are owned. It focuses on intra-Asia trades.
