Swiss trading house looks to fill hole left by OW Bunker in Singapore

Singapore: There’s plenty of jostling for ex-OW Bunker staff going on around the world. In the wake of the Danish firm’s dramatic November 7 bankruptcy, many have eyed the hole created by the demise of the world’s largest bunkering company.

Reuters reports that Swiss trading house Mercuria is looking at taking on close to 40 former OW Bunker employees.

Mercuria is first setting up in North Asia covering the Japan and Korea markets and is then looking to take on up to 12 employees in Singapore, Reuters reports. It then might look at Greece too.  [03/12/14]
