SwissMarine extends Diana Shipping capesize charter

Greek owner Diana Shipping has entered into a new time charter contract with SwissMarine Services for 2009-built capesize Houston.

The new charter commences May 9 for a period of 9-10 months, and sees the vessel get a pay rise from $10,000 per day on the previous charter up to $19,000 per day.

Diana Shipping says the contract will generate around $4.85m based on the minimum time charter period.
